Movement: Jewelled manual wind, column wheel chronograph
Dial: Silvered, black Arabic numeral hour markers, black inner 1/5th second divisions with 5 minute markers, blue outer telemetre and tachymetre scale, subsidiary dials at 3 and 6 for seconds and 30 minute recording, blued steel leaf hands, centre chronograph second
Case: Brushed and polished round, snap on back inside stamped S.A.R., crown flanked by twin olive form buttons, No.037673
Strap/Bracelet: Burgundy alligator leather
Buckle/Clasp: Steel buckle
Signed: Case, dial & movement

Footnotes

The reference 2508, introduced in the mid-1930s, was the first chronograph to feature two buttons and two registers. Originally the chronograph buttons were olive formed, as with the current lot, and then later fitted with rectangular ones
