8vo. Portrait frontispiece, black and white photographic plates. Rubbed, a bit loose, lacking plate opposite p 194, card stock applied to rear paste-down, scattered browning.

SIGNED BY ROOSEVELT ON THE TITLE PAGE. A later edition, with additional illustrations. Roosevelt's Spanish American War expedition cemented his fame and launched his political career on the national level.
