8vo (205 x 127 mm). Tinted lithographic frontispiece. Contemporary blind-stamped textured cloth ruled in gilt on upper cover, spine gilt with 4 raised bands, marbled edges and endpapers. Rubbed, foxing and some staining throughout.

FIRST AND ONLY KNOWN EDITION of this scarce account written by a Christian missionary working in the area of the Great Lakes. Howes ascribes the text to the eighteenth century, but the author's identity is unknown. Gagnon 3326; Howes S522.
