The charter granted by their Majesties King William and Queen Mary to the inhabitants of the province of Massachusetts-Bay in New England. Boston: Printed by B. Green, for Benjamin Eliot, 1726 (but 1731).
BOUND WITH: Acts and Laws, of His Majesty's Province of the Massachusetts-Bay in New England. 2 works in one volume. Folio (290 x 190 mm). Title page in red and black, separate title page to the Act and Laws (dated 1725 on verso). Rebacked retaining contemporary calf covers. Heavily rubbed, corners bumped, ownership signatures on upper cover and front free endpaper, canceled signature on title page, ink annotations, some tears, foxing.
Provenance: George Pomeroy (unidentified, ownership inscription); John Phillips (Mayor of Boston, 1770-1823; ownership inscription).
