4to (333 x 270 mm). Collection of 35 (of 80) hand-colored engraved plates with partial text including introduction and preface in English and French. Disbound. Some manuscript notations, scattered browning and foxing, a few leaves with light dampstaining, tape repair to half-title.

The plates appear to be from the first 2 volumes of Martyn's work, some hand-numbered in pencil with "figure" designations, including 2, 4, 5, 10, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 36, 38, 44, 53, 54, 75, and 88; others unnumbered. Watermarks include Voltaire and J. Whatman, as well as some unidentified marks. See Forbes I, 176; Nissen ZBI 2728.
