8vo (150 x 92 mm). Engraved pictorial title page (untrimmed), 9 engraved alchemical and scientific plates, errata leaf at b4. BOUND WITH: ARNALDUS DE VILLANOVA. Omnia, quae exstant, opera chymica...., Frankfurt: J. Bratheringij, 1603. Some marginalia.
18th-century vellum-backed paper covered boards, titled in ink to spine, minor foxing.

RARE COMPLETE COPY OF THIS IMPORTANT ALCHEMICAL WORK, the most important of the Pseudo-Geber corpus once attributed to Jabir ibn Hayyan. Summa perfectionis Magisterii was one of the most widely circulated alchemical works of the late Medieval period, including an explanation for transmuting base metals into gold, and drawing upon Avicenna.
