WARREN'S EULOGY OF JFK, SIGNED.

WARREN, EARL. 1891-1974. Remarks by Earl Warren, Chief Justice of United States, at Ceremonies for the Late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Printed transcript signed ("Earl Warren") in lower margin of second page, in blue ink, 2 pp, recto and verso, undated [1963], some creasing, browning to edges.
WITH: excerpt from LIFE magazine report on the funeral of President Kennedy.

Warren was appointed Chief Justice by Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1952, and shortly after his appointment he led the court in its landmark decision in "Brown vs. the Board of Education," forcing school districts across the country to desegregate. He privately supported Kennedy as candidate for President, and after swearing him in in 1961, the two developed a personal friendship. Warren would lead the presidential commission that investigated JFK's assassination, thereafter known as the "Warren Commission."
