The Campaign in India, 1857- 58. London: Day & Son, 1859.
Folio (555 x 370 mm). 26 tinted lithographed plates on 20 sheets (including pictorial title), by W. Simpson and others after Atkinson. Rebacked in half red morocco, retaining publisher's gilt pictorial cloth covers. Pictorial title faded, foxing to some leaves and plates, one text leaf torn at outside margin, minor soiling.
Provenance: The Max and Peter Allen Collection.

FIRST EDITION. A fine visual record of the Indian Mutiny by George Atkinson, Captain in the Bengal Engineers. Abbey Travel 486.
