HARDING, WARREN G. 1865-1923.

Photograph Signed ("Warren G. Harding"), gelatin silver print on heavy stock, 350 x 284 mm (image size 235 x 175 mm), undated, with the photographer's name "Edmonston" in the print at lower right, inscribed in the bottom margin "To Henry J. Ryan, with friendly greetings and very best wishes." Chip to lower right corner, some handling wear.

Harding was a highly popular president during his term, which lasted just over 2 years before he died suddenly of a heart attack at San Francisco's Palace Hotel. Henry J. Ryan, to whom this photo was presented, was the National Director of the Americanism Commission of the American Legion at the time of Harding's presidency.
