FRAMED WITH: Printed card giving DIRECTIONS to Twain's Riverdale home, annotated by Twain, 97 x 69 mm, BAL 3474.
FRAMED WITH: Portrait photograph of Twain, 4 x 7 inch (180 x 110 mm) gelatin silver print.
FRAMED WITH: Small photograph of Twain's Riverdale home, 3 x 5 inch (120 x 85 mm) gelatin silver print.
Provenance: Collection of Pauline and Ozzy Fletcher; sold to our consignor.

Twain's autograph advertisement for a stenographer to help with his Autobiogaphy, "Wanted - Stenographer/ Young girl Recent stenographic graduate; great speed not required; fair education; good references as to character and conduct. To go to the country two hours from New York. Board, lodging, & $8 per week. Saturdays and Sundays free. Apply by letter, stating particulars...." Framed with Twain's rare printed card giving directions to his Riverdale home, annotated by Twain (see BAL 3474), and with portraits of the author and the home.
