Of oval profile with applied cord-runners, decorated in polychrome lacquer on a gold fundame ground with Enma-ō, King of Hell, seated reading a scroll on one side and a halberd-wielding demon on the reverse, the interior nashiji, the shoulders and risers fundame, signed on the base Sensenkyo Shiba Jikō; fitted with a stag-antler manjū netsuke inset with an inlaid iron disk depicting Bishamon holding a miniature pagoda
