CLEVELAND ON PRESIDENTIAL PROBLEMS.

CLEVELAND, GROVER. 1837-1908. Autograph Letter Signed ("Grover Cleveland") to Mr. Golden regarding a recent book contract submitted for Cleveland's approval, 1 p, 4to, Princeton, May 12, 1904, page toned, matted and framed.

In part: "I have just received your letter containing a proposed contract for the publication of the book. I am very much pleased with the solemnity of the undertaking it embraces, and the responsibilities it imposes on all of us. / The terms of the contract are entirely satisfactory to me." Cleveland asks questions about copyright issues on "Executive" material, and wonders if an index and preface will be wanted. The book is likely his 1904 work, Presidential Problems, a series of essays and recollections of events during his two non-consecutive terms.
