8vo. Tipped-in leaf from the Algonquian Bible of 1663. Publisher's blue cloth, glassine dust jacket, blue cloth slipcase. Slight wear to slipcase.

LIMITED EDITION, one of 87 copies printed by the Stinehouse Press. The Algonquian Bible, translated by John Eliot, was the first American Bible, published in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1663. The original leaf inserted here contains Psalms 43-45.
