3 volumes in 5. 4to (343 x 175 mm). 174 engraved plates, including two portraits of George Washington, numerous portraits and engravings in text. 19th-century calf, worn, flaking, covers detached, some foxing throughout.

The production of the illustrations was overseen by Henry Fuseli and they include engravings by Thomas Holloway and three signed engravings by William Blake (one a full-page portrait). SOLD NOT SUBJECT TO RETURN.
