WOLLASTON, TYPESET BY BENJAMIN FRANKLIN.

WOLLASTON, WILLIAM HYDE. 1766-1828. The Religion of Nature Delineated. London: Samuel Palmer for B. Lintott, 1725.
4to (235 x 185 mm). Woodcut vignette on title and final leaf, woodcut headpieces and initials. Rebacked retaining contemporary paneled calf covers. Repairs to corners of covers, minimal wear.

Second edition. Benjamin Franklin was encouraged by Sir William Keith, Governor of Pennsylvania, to go to London at the age of 19 and obtain printing equipment for a new newspaper. When Keith's financial backing did not materialize, Franklin worked as a typesetter at Samuel Palmer's press in London and recalled this imprint specifically in his memoirs as one of the books he had typeset.
