Large folio (502 x 350 mm). Text in Latin and English, 34 plates (18 double-page), "Notice to Members" slip tipped in at front. Contemporary limp blue cloth, stamped in gilt and blind on upper cover. Rubbed, foxing, a few small tears to edges, library cancel stamp on title and canceled library bookplate on front paste-down.
Provenance: Queens College, Cork (bookplate); Anatomy Department, University of Cambridge (stamp on title).

Facsimile edition reprinted and distributed to members of the Sydenham Society in London in 1851, reproducing plates from the original edition of 1774. Blake, p 226; Gaskell 56; Osler 3026; Wellcome III 319 (all for original edition).
