8vo (225 x 140 mm). 12 pp publisher's advertisement laid in at front. Contemporary boards, paper lettering piece on spine, modern clamshell box. Upper joint cracked, rubbed, chipping to spine ends and lettering piece, light foxing.

FIRST ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDITION, translated by Charles Devrient from the fourth German edition of 1829. Hahnemann experimented with the healing property of cinchona, the bark of a family of flowering shrubs native to Peru and derived from his experiments the new medical doctrine of homeopathy. Garrison-Morton-Norman 1966.
