Some Account of the Pennsylvania Hospital; From its First Rise to the Beginning of the Fifth Month, Called May, 1754. Pennsylvania: United States' Gazette, 1817. 8vo (225 x 140 mm). Contemporary boards, rebacked in modern cloth with gilt titles, modern cloth clamshell box. Staining and wear to boards, foxing throughout.

Second edition of this account of the founding of the first hospital established in America. Franklin, generally credited with authorship of this work, was one of the founders the hospital. Howes F-331; Sabin 25588 (both for the first edition of 1754).
