Robinson, 1777. 8vo. 20th century brown linen, morocco gilt lettering piece on spine. Browning, chipping to title page with some repairs, library blindstamp to title page.
WITH: DAY, STACEY B. Gastrick Physiologist, Physician and American Statesman. Montreal: Cultural and Educational Productions, 1969. Contains a complete English translation of Stevens' dissertation.
2. BEAUMONT, WILLIAM. 1785-1853. Experiments and Observations on the Gastric Juice, and the Physiology of Digestion. Boston: Lilly, Waite and Company, 1834. 8vo. Modern quarter calf and marbled boards. Title page silked, foxing, pages creased throughout text block, some marginal chipping. FIRST EDITION, second issue, with cancel title bearing Bostson imprint and dated 1834.
