BOUND WITH: SAMONICUS, Q. SERENUS. Praecepta Medica, versibus hexametris. AND WITH: FANNIUS, Q. RHEMNIUS. De Ponderibus. Solingen: Johann Soter, 1638.
8vo (146 x 97 mm). 18th century vellum, gilt titles on spine, marbled endpapers, edges dyed blue. Paper library label at foot of spine, ownership inscription on title, slight worming to endleaves, edges trimmed, some touching printed marginalia, browning.

Early edition of one of the first medical books in print, first published in Florence in 1478. The publisher, Johann Soter, was the first printer in Solingen, having established his press the year prior to this imprint. Durling 912; Garrison-Morton-Norman 20 (first edition).
