FIRST EDITION of Corvisart's translation of Auenbrugger's work, which expanded the original 95 pages into 440 pages with the addition of Corvisart's notes and comments. Corvisart "really created cardiac symptomatology and made possible the differentiation between cardiac and pulmonary disorders. His translation of Auenbrugger's book on percussion resulted in the universal adoption of that procedure" (Garrison-Morton-Norman 2737). Norman 83.
