16 volumes bound in 15. 8vo. Volumes 1 and 2 in contemporary sheep; 3 through 16 in 19th century half calf and marbled boards. Most fragile, leather desiccated, some with detached boards, ink ownership stamps, browning. Sold not subject to return.

FIRST EDITION, ALL PUBLISHED. This was the eighth medical periodical published in the United States, edited by E. Eberle and H.W. Ducachet. It was preceded by the Journal of Foreign Medical Science and Literature, and was merged in 1829 into the American Journal of the Medical Sciences. Sabin 1144; Waller 385.
