2 volumes. Folio (280 x 225 mm). Publisher's textured cloth stamped in gilt with alchemical symbol on upper covers and gilt titles on spine, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Slightly rubbed, a few bumps to edges and corners, light spotting and browning.
Provenance: Charles W. Burr, M.D. (bookplates).

Arthur Edward Waite was an English mystic and poet who wrote extensively on the occult. This work gathers together the writings of Paracelsus that pertain to hermetic chemistry, hermetic medicine, and hermetic philosophy, with notes and explanations and a relevant vocabulary.
