ORCHIDS FROM CURTIS'S BOTANICAL MAGAZINE.
[London: L. Reeve & Co., various dates.]
4 volumes, 4to (240 x 152 mm). Approximately 160 engraved and lithographed plates, some colored, and some double page. 20th century red-brown calf, titled in gilt on spines. Coves slightly rubbed, browning to contents, some tape repairs to plates.

He had the prints bound with their accompanying descriptions into these four volumes in Panama...." An interesting compendium of illustrations, depicting only orchids, from a well-known horticultural periodical.
