Folio (360 x 265 mm). 42 lines, double column, Gothic type. Initial and capital strokes in red. Single leaf from the Gutenberg bible, the Old Testament, containing Ezekiel 39:7 to 40:27.

AN ORIGINAL LEAF FROM THE 42-LINE BIBLE. "Standards were set in quality of paper and blackness of ink, in design and professional skill, which printers of later generations have found difficult to maintain ... the first and in many ways the greatest of all printed books" (PMM 1).
