Norte de la contratacion de las Indias Occidentales. Seville: Juan Francisco de Blas, 1672.
2 parts in one volume. Folio (295 x 210 mm). Additional engraved title (dated 1671) by Marcus de Orozco, title printed within typographical border. Early limp vellum, remnants of ties at foredge, inked title on spine. Light staining to covers, obscured stamp on engraved title, slight worm tracks in the margin of the first few leaves.
Provenance: Amadeo Fernandez Baca (ownership stamp on title and last page)

FIRST EDITION concerning the political and judicial laws of the Spanish colonies in America. The first part deals with the history, regulations, organization and jurisdiction of the House of Trade of Seville. The second part details the organization and operation of the fleet of trade ships that sailed between the West Indies and Spain.
