REMBRANDT: JEWS IN THE SYNAGOGUE.

VAN RIJN, REMBRANDT HARMENSZOON. 1606-1669. Drypoint etching, 71 x 131 mm, signed and dated 1648 in the plate. Backed with Japan paper, margins trimmed, a few minor repairs, matted (hinged at top edge).
Provenance: From a private collection in Germany.

A fine impression of the 3rd state, with two dots in the upper left corner clearly visible, before changes were made to the interior of the synagogue. Bartsch 126; New Hollstein p 242, state III (of IX); White-Boon 126 II.
