REMBRANDT: SELF PORTRAIT IN A VELVET CAP WITH PLUME.

VAN RIJN, REMBRANDT HARMENSZOON. 1606-1669. Drypoint etching, 137 x 104 mm, unsigned and undated (but 1638), on laid paper. Left margin roughly trimmed, some wrinkling, dampstaining to lower left corner, including part of image. Unmounted.

Bartsch 20; New Hollstein 170, state III (of IV, without signature, diagonal scratch in plate at upper left only slightly visible).
