Join us in celebrating the 90th birthday of the beloved illustrator and children's author Sir Quentin Blake this December. This very special sale will comprise of 140 drawings – nearly all of which have been drawn especially by Quentin for this sale – with all proceeds going to the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration. The proceeds raised in this sale will help in the restoration of a fascinating but forgotten 18th- and 19th-century heritage site, New River Head in Clerkenwell, London, to create the permanent national centre for illustration. The Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration will offer a dynamic, distinctive programme of exhibitions, and will also provide a home for the 40,000-work archive of the UK's best-loved illustrator, Quentin Blake. This online-only sale will end on the day of Quentin's 90th Birthday – 16th December – and we are delighted to be helping to celebrate his birthday while raising money for a very important cause. A selection of highlights will be available to view at our New Bond Street galleries while bidding is live, at the times detailed below.
