Persia, early 17th Century

the cylindrical shaft on a flaring foot, with everted rim, divided into three sections by raised ribs, profusely engraved and decorated, the middle section with a central zig-zag band containing inscription, above and below quadrupeds on a ground of floral and split palmette interlace, the upper section and foot with bands of floral scrollwork and split palmette interlace, further inscription to rim
30 cm. tall
