lithograph, 120 leaves, 20 lines to the page in nasta'liq, ruled margins, frontispiece depicting the ten Sikh Gurus with Bala and Mardana, and fifteen further full-page illustrations, blue cloth binding
256 x 165 mm.

Footnotes

Besides the frontispiece, the illustrations include a diagram of the order of succession of the Gurus, individual portraits of each Guru seated, a view of the Golden Temple at Amritsar, and finally Guru Gobind Singh on horseback with fakir attendants.

Munshi Lalji Sahib, according to the colophon, was the son of Nawanda Rai, revenue accountant (wasilbaqi-nawis) in Ganj Bara Banki, Lucknow. The text was printed in 1888 by the Kayastha Press, Lucknow.
