西藏 十六世紀 普賢菩薩唐卡

This thangka is in the Nyingma tradition, where Samantabhadra is considered to be the Primordial Buddha. See two other paintings of Samantabhadra, one in the Erie Art Museum (HAR 91035) and the other in the Rubin Museum of Art, New York (2003.25.3; HAR 65267).

Other thangkas in the distinctive 16th-century style were sold at Bonhams, Paris, 1-10 June 2021, lot 54; 4 October 2022, lot 27; and New York, 15-25 March 2022, lot 393.
