A good late 20th century brass and wood eight-day inclined plane timepiece with day-of-the-week indication

The knurled brass cylindrical case resting on an embossed leather-clad plane, supported at the ends by a turned brass pillar and a brass wedge, on a moulded wood base with knurled brass lozenge feet. The 4-inch Roman brass dial with four-point star half-hour markers, the centre engraved with a large stylised compass rose, signed Dent London above and England engraved below VI, with painted steel moon hands.
The weight driven jewelled movement with the centre arbor pivoted on ball bearings to the front and back, the back dust cover stamped E. Dent & Co. Ltd. England Eleven Jewels. Ticking and moving. Plane 61cms (24ins long).
