A 19th century American painted spelter mystery swinging timepiece
Ansonia Clock Company, Arcadia model
The standing figure of a woman festooned with flowers, barefoot on a moss covered rock, on a wooden socle, a sheaf of flowers in her left hand, her head tilted toward the tip of her raised right hand holding a torch aloft, on the end of which balances a spherical dial with applied Arabic numerals and fancy hands over a triple-rod pendulum terminating in a smaller decorative sphere. The spring barrel movement with tic-tac escapement and internal pendulum with short brass bob, the lower back plate stamped Ansonia Clock Co. Ticking. 79cms (31ins) high
