These pendant portraits are after a group of portraits of King James I and his wife, Queen Anne of Denmark, associated with John de Critz, Sergeant Painter to the King. They follow full-length versions of the King currently at Loseley Park and the Museo del Prado (inv. no. P001954), and of Queen Anne currently at Loseley Park and in the National Portrait Gallery, London (inv. NPG 6918).
