Tracey Emin collaborated with Longchamp for the ten-year anniversary of the 'Le Pliage' bags.
The collection features three re-imagined Longchamp designs: the "International Woman" suitcase, the "Always Me" bag and the "Dragonfly" clutch bag.
For the "International Woman" suitcase, Emin explores the idea of an "International Woman" travelling from one city to the other, in search of "International Love" with an "International Man". For this example, Emin used a pink blanket similar to her childhood bed.
Two hundred copies of the suitcase were made, and each carries a rosette with a hand-drawn Longchamp logo and a name, handwritten by Emin, of a street, city or hotel, in this case, Munich, which reminded her of a moment of love. Each rosette is therefore an original and signed by the artist.
