Roosevelt, Eleanor (1884-1962)

Typed letter signed, Dated October 10, 1945, on black-bordered mourning stationery, with envelope bearing a New York City return address. Soon after the death of President Roosevelt, Mrs. Roosevelt writes to a Mr. Sol Tobius Nevins of Brooklyn, N.Y., thanking him for a photograph which he sent and promising to "have it placed in the library at Hyde Park with all of the other tributes to my husband's memory" (folded twice, two small holes, foxing at one fold).
Accompanied by a copy of the letter to which she was responding, with the signature line cut off.,
