Small 8vo, large-paper edition, number 41 of 50 copies, title page in red and black, full crushed light-brown morocco binding by Zaehnsdorf with elaborate floral gilt decoration front and back, chambered spine with gilt title, author, and publication information, sea-green silk endpapers and gilt binder's monogram on rear paste-down endpaper, deckle edges, gilt top, 8 x 5 in. Stated on title page: "Reprinted from the first edition, with notes of De Quincey's conversations by Richard Woodhouse, and other additions, edited by Richard Garnett." Colophon before title page, inscribed in ink with the number 41, states: "The large paper edition of this volume, consisting of fifty copies, all of which are numbered and signed, was printed in March, 1885.,
