ALS and TLS to Capt. William W. Phelps, Undated ALS on 8 x 10 in. sheet of paper, reading, "Dear Capt Phelps, I am so sorry we cannot go with you and it is hard about the turbine. It would have been nice to see the old Leviathan again...." TLS dated April 3, 1919, on Navy Department letterhead, detaching Capt. Phelps from duty as commander of the U.S.S. Leviathan. Accompanied by a file of photos and newspaper clippings.,
