The Scarlet Letter, first edition, 8vo, publisher's brown cloth, blind-stamped and lettered in gilt on the spine. Rebacked with original spine laid down. With publisher's advertisements (rubbed along the edges, water staining along the hinge, previous owner's name in pencil at top of title page, bookplate on ffep)., Boston: Ticknor, Reed, and Fields, 1850.
