Horace [Quintus Horatius Flaccus] (65-8 B.C.)

Opera, 2 vols., 8vo, full blue morocco, gilt double-fillet border, gilt panels front and back with fleurons at corners, marbled endpapers, previous owners' bookplates, extensively illustrated with plates and vignettes engraved by John Pine, error in medallion inscription on page 108 of vol. II (corners slightly worn, small ink stain on pages 34-35 of vol. I, otherwise an excellent copy). 9 1/4 x 6 in., London: John Pine, 1733-37.
