probably Cotton Hersey, Hingham, Massachusetts, c. 1850.
Firkin form with pegged swing handle, copper-tacked hoops, and bottom joined to staves with square pegs, with flange and conforming hooped lid, stamped "C.H." on top, all with exterior green paint
, (paint loss, small chips on lid hoop) 5cm in diameter, 7cm high (2 3/8in in diameter, 3 1/2in high).
