Note
Robert Peckham lived most of his life in Westminster, Massachusetts, and was appointed Deacon of the First Congregational Church. Peckham was a dedicated abolitionist whose home was on the Underground Railroad. The National Gallery of Art exhibited a group of his portraits of children.
