Molded Copper Codfish Weathervane,
probably Massachusetts, c. 1855.
Flattened full-body copper form with molded scales, applied corrugated sheet copper fins and a wire whisker, verdigris surface with traces of gilding and black painted details, includes custom iron stand, (oxidation, minor seam separation, dent on right side), 91cm wide, 7cm deep, 27cm high (36in wide, 3 1/2in deep, 11in high).
