Molded Copper and Zinc Rooster Weathervane,
probably New England, late 19th century.
Large full-body figure of molded copper with soldered legs and cast zinc feet, sheet metal tail, comb, wattle, and protruding tongue, mounted on a cast metal arrow shaft with an applied cast-iron head and corrugated sheet copper fletching, verdigris and painted surface with traces of gilding, includes custom cast iron stand, (oxidation, minor seam separation, two bullet holes in arrow feather), 106cm wide, 15cm deep, 83cm high (42in wide, 6in deep, 33in high).
