Paint-decorated Dry Sink,
probably Vermont, 19th century.
Two-door case with shallow recessed top and full-width shelf below, with beaded, quarter-round corners, tongue-and-groove joined back boards, and a carved skirt conforming with arched end boards, joined paneled doors are grain-painted inside and out, the fronts decorated with a continuous deer-hunting scene, inscribed "ESMOND LYONS / POULTNEY / VERMONT" on inside right door in black ink, (missing lid, splitting, paint loss), 99cm wide, 38cm deep, 78cm high (39 5/8in wide, 15in deep, 31 1/8in high).
