Nailed and dovetailed dome lid opens on iron wire hinges on dovetailed case with pegged flange around opening, cast brass bail handle and beveled brass latch and escutcheon, painted blue-green with fine quill borders and recurring floral motif in pink, yellow, and black, includes key, 27cm wide, 12cm deep, 12cm high (11in wide, 5 3/4in deep, 5 1/2in high).
