mostly late 19th and early 20th century
Displayed in three frames, the handles in varying materials, the collection includes:
first frame, silver examples include, combined slide action pencil and hook, a golf club, two with thistle, two teddy bears; second frame, fourteen others with silver handles, some with folding hooks, ten examples with hardstone handles, one tigers eye, two tortoiseshell, nine mother of pearl; third frame, seven with hardstone spherical terminals, six others with hardstone inset handles, four with enamelled handles, one gold handle stamped 9CT, six other metal folding examples and six with bone handles, in glazed wooden frames.
