A late Regency/William IV rosewood and brass mounted mantel clock
the dial signed Braithwaite & Jones, Cockspur St, London,
the elaborate rectangular case with drapery carved swept pagoda top and scrolling side pieces, the integral plinth with lobed and shaped recessed panel decoration on shallow rectangular base, with reel border, raised on bun feet, the side of the case with hole for repeat mechanism on the left hand side, the 5'' painted Roman dial (later refreshed) with pierced black and steel hands, the brass twin fusee movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell with pendulum, case key and winder, 35cm high
