A rare Arts and Crafts style silver and finely enamelled set of door furniture, with door handle, finger plate and key hole cover

mark for John Ferguson Gow, London 1949
The door knop / handle of compressed circular form with lobed sides and with a circular back-plate, cloisonné enamelled in blues with a stylised flower head and petalled band, with green enamelled leaves, the rectangular finger plate with a cloisonné enamel central panel of five large stylised flower heads enamelled in shades of blue, among green enamelled leaves and blue dots, all over a stippled ground, raised border with beads and drilled holes for the fixing screws, the shaped swivel key hole cover, enamelled with a stylised flower head and petals enamelled in shades of blue and heightened with greens, length of finger plate 28.6cm, weight 22oz. (4)

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
